Dr. Jeff Malucci
Dr. Jeff Malucci did his undergraduate studies at the University of Buffalo, specializing in exercise science and athletic training. He accumulated countless hours of therapy and training with the university’s football, basketball, track, wrestling, soccer, and tennis teams. While this was an exciting career path, Dr. Malucci’s interest in the biomechanics and injury complex of the human body led him to the field of Chiropractic.
Dr. Malucci graduated from Life Chiropractic College in 2005 and continued his studies focusing on injury rehabilitation and prevention, sports chiropractic, extremity adjusting and human biomechanics. While attending Life Chiropractic College, Dr. Malucci’s interest in the human body continued as he instructed human anatomy lab, aiding and performing human cadaver dissections.
After graduating, Dr. Malucci practiced at In-Balance Chiropractic with Dr. Alan Beckerman. Dr. Malucci’s relationship with Dr. Beckerman proved to be invaluable as he learned to combine an in-depth knowledge of the musculoskeletal system with energetic and nutritional healing techniques; facilitating, initially, relief from pain and, ultimately, a genuine and lasting higher level of health and overall well being. It was here Dr. Malucci learned the finer details of muscle testing structural and postural muscles to determine what imbalances, if any are present. These tests are biodynamic kinesiological muscle challenge and will reveal previously undiagnosed weakness and hypertonicity, both a cause of future breakdown.
In 2007, Dr. Malucci found Synergy Release Sports. At Synergy he was introduced to Synergy Release Therapy as a technique to achieve the necessary balance between nerves, muscles, and bones that prevents overuse injuries, and aid in the resolution and rehabilitation of inevitable injuries that do occur in sports or in life.
In 2010, Dr. Malucci embarked on another journey. He developed a close bond with Don Myers and Brian Glotzbach of Body Mechanics. They joined forces and Dr. Malucci started Malucci Sports Therapy.
In 2012 Dr. Malucci studied with Dr Alan Phillips in New Zealand. Here, he learned a technique that uses the latest cellular research to address causes not symptoms. This technique identifies and corrects the patients complaint at the cellular level.
A Philosophy was born, one that he uses today. He formulated an approach that identify underlying biomechanical dysfunction that set the stage for musculoskeletal failures. These adverse structural issues cause stress and/or degeneration of specific tissues for weeks, months or even years before they finally lead to failure. The system addresses the biomechanical breakdown instead of treating the symptoms. By following this protocol, see to it that our patients recover faster, avoid reoccurrence and remain injury free.
In 2012, Dr. Malucci was honored with “Chiropractor Of The Year” by Jezebel magazine.
Dr Malucci’s experience has given him the amazing opportunity of traveling to numerous cities around the country to adjust numerous professional athletes and celebrities
Dr. Martin Wilson
Dr. Martin Wilson is a graduate from Life University of the Doctor of Chiropractic Program. He brings to our office a passion for helping families and athletes reach their optimal potential. He has also spent many hours working towards his art of chiropractic by developing his knowledge on spinal analysis and extremity adjusting as well as caring for sports and athletic type injuries. He recently received his diplomate as a Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner (CCEP). He is currently in the Master’s program at Life University to further his knowledge on performance of the human body and chiropractic sports injury management. If you have recently started to get active or you are a weekend warrior, or a high-performance athlete, Dr. Martin is prepared to help you stay active and work to improve your performance and overall function.
Dr. Martin is a GA native, and grew up in Marietta. Before entering the chiropractic program, he was in the United States Marine Corps stationed in Jacksonville, NC. He spent 5 years on active duty and served our country in three tours against the war on terror. After leaving the Marine Corps he found his body was worn down and he was having back pains, trouble sleeping, and shoulder problems. A friend suggested chiropractic and after a few months of care he was greatly improved and realized that he wanted to provide help for others the same way chiropractic had helped him.
He values chiropractic because it helped change his life and he wants to help share this with others. He also believes in working with the patients and any other health care providers to give the patient the best care possible to reach a goal of optimal health.
He is a huge sports fan and you can find him on the weekends cheering on his favorite sports teams, the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta Hawks, and Atlanta Braves! He has played several sports over the years and enjoys staying physically active. Dr. Martin is recently engaged and enjoys spending time with his fiancé and their four dogs. They hope to start a family here and continue to support and love the community here in Metro Atlanta.
After meeting with Jeff and the Malucci Sports Therapy staff, he was eager to join the team and work in an office so similar to his approach. Dr. Martin is full of energy and has a passion for helping patients get out of pain, restore range of motion and function to the spine to reach overall wellness of the body.
Dr. Martin Sullivan
Dr. Martin Sullivan spent the first decade of his life in growing up in Woodstock, GA. It was there that he first discovered his fascination with sports and more specifically, baseball. Upon his family’s move to Santa Rosa Beach, Florida (30-A), Dr. Sullivan became enthralled in action sports such surfing, paddle or YOLO boarding, skating, and skim-boarding. Due to the nature of these sports, this inevitably lead to multiple injuries in which chiropractic care was always part of the cure.
Dr. Sullivan went on to receive his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Florida State University in 2015. While there he spent majority of his extra time learning about nutrition, strength and conditioning, and athletic performance through both classes and personal experience. Dr. Sullivan then went on to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic – Florida Campus and graduated Cum Laude in 2018. During his time at Palmer, Dr. Sullivan quickly became a standout on campus for his enthusiasm, his understanding of the body, and his ability to communicate with his patients. His eagerness to learn and general desire to break away from the “cookie cutter” methods seen all too frequently in health care, lead him to learn a wide variety of techniques (Applied Kinesiology, SOT, Gonstead, IASTT, Trigger Point, Toggle Recoil) as well as acquire multiple additional certifications in acupuncture, extremity adjusting, and kinesiology taping. This knowledge base along with proficiency and dedication to the profession earned Dr. Sullivan the Clinical Excellence Award for his class.
Since graduation from Palmer, Dr. Sullivan has continued his educational journey, diving into understanding the complexities of sport injuries and rehab. This journey has introduced many new and exciting ways of healing including Pulsed Electromagnetic Frequencies (PEMF) and Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM). In his free time Dr. Sullivan enjoys being outdoors with his fiancé and their German shepherd, Luna, or staying in to watch the newest shows on Netflix.
